Introduction
Jeremy Bishop is an Academic Manager and Teacher Trainer with over 35 years of experience in several countries: the UK, South Korea, Bangladesh, Thailand, Oman and Malaysia. He has successfully delivered classes which are focussed on his student’s needs, designing a wide range of effective materials, and creating a team-based learning experience. He has an extensive academic management experience including Senior Teacher, Academic Manager and Acting Director with The British Council; District English Language Coordinator and State English Language Coordinator CfBT/Ministry of Education Malaysia; Director of Studies International House Malaysia.
Jeremy has worked with various corporate organisations; Arthur Andersen (Korea), BP Amoco (Korea), Cairn Energy (Bangladesh), Chiang Mai International Airport (Thailand), Crown Agents (Bangladesh), HSBC (Bangladesh), Samsung (Korea). Training staff and senior management in a variety of skill areas including, Presentation Skills, Report Writing and Telephone English Skills.
Jeremy holds a Bachelor’s Religious Studies (1st Class Honours) from Lancaster University and a Master of Studies Social Anthropology from the University of Oxford, where he was a scholarship student. He has an RSA Certificate and RSA Diploma in Teaching English as a Second Language. He has been an IELTS and IGCSE examiner, as well as a Distance DELTA tutor.
A former Zone Manager (Perak) of SMR ELT, Jeremy played a key role in training and managing 45 International Teacher Mentors. He maintained excellent communications with all stakeholders, including over 2,000 teachers from 225 schools and their respective management, as well as PPD and JPN Perak officers in each phase of the project. Currently, he operates as the IELTS Preparatory Programme (IPP) Co-ordinator, Oxbridge Language Centre, University of Cyberjaya. Jeremy designed and wrote the programme, which trains international students to attain their required IELTS certification.

- Presentation Skills – Focussing on the delivery of confident and impactful presentations for students and corporate or NGO management and staff.
- Report Writing Skills – Instructing participants to compose detailed and practical reports for maximum effect.
- Telephone English Skills – Preparing students and staff to be articulate, professional and courteous whilst communicating effectively.
